Ekiti State is actively engaged in the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project, with a commitment to advancing agricultural productivity through sustainable irrigation practices. The state has selected Model 2, which focuses on state-led development and management of irrigation infrastructure. To meet its agricultural objectives, Ekiti State has chosen the Ado-Ekiti Irrigation Scheme for rehabilitation and expansion under the SPIN project.
