Gombe State has joined the SPIN project to enhance its irrigated agriculture sector and contribute to national food security. The state has chosen to implement Model 2, empowering the state government to take direct ownership and regulatory control over its irrigation and drainage programs. As its flagship project under this initiative, Gombe State has selected the Balanga Irrigation Scheme.
