Katsina State is actively participating in the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project, aiming to enhance agricultural productivity through sustainable irrigation practices. The state has opted for Model 2, where the state government leads in the development and management of irrigation schemes. To meet its agricultural objectives, Katsina State has selected the Katsina River Irrigation Project for rehabilitation and expansion under the SPIN initiative.
