Niger State is a committed participant in the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project, focusing on enhancing agricultural productivity through sustainable irrigation practices. The state has chosen Model 2, where the state government leads in the development and management of irrigation schemes. To achieve its agricultural objectives, Niger State has selected the Niger River Irrigation Project for rehabilitation and expansion under the SPIN initiative.
