Plateau State is an enthusiastic participant in the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project, working to boost agricultural productivity through sustainable irrigation solutions. The state has selected Model 2, with the state government leading the development and management of irrigation schemes. To fulfill its agricultural objectives, Plateau State has chosen the Plateau River Irrigation Project for rehabilitation and expansion under the SPIN project.
