Sokoto State is utilizing the SPIN project to expand its irrigated land and support local farmers. The state has adopted Model 2, meaning it will oversee the regulatory and operational aspects of a State Irrigation Scheme. The Kware Irrigation scheme has been identified as the core project for Sokoto under this arrangement.
