Taraba State is a committed participant in the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project, focusing on improving agricultural productivity through sustainable irrigation systems. The state has selected Model 2, where the state government takes the lead in developing and managing irrigation schemes. To achieve its agricultural objectives, Taraba State has chosen the Taraba River Irrigation Project for rehabilitation and expansion under the SPIN initiative.
