Zamfara State is a dedicated participant in the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project, focusing on improving agricultural productivity through sustainable irrigation systems. The state has selected Model 2, where the state government takes the lead in developing and managing irrigation schemes. To achieve its agricultural goals, Zamfara State has chosen the Zamfara River Irrigation Project for rehabilitation and expansion under the SPIN project.
