A $500 million initiative to strengthen Nigeria's water, food, and energy security.
The Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) Project is a transformative $500 million World Bank-supported initiative designed to address Nigeria's critical challenges in water security, food production, and energy generation.
Through comprehensive dam safety improvements, irrigation modernization, and hydropower development, SPIN aims to create a resilient foundation for Nigeria's sustainable development goals.
The project directly benefits over 950,000 Nigerians while establishing the groundwork for long-term agricultural productivity and renewable energy expansion across the country.
Climate change, population growth, and economic development challenges require innovative solutions. SPIN addresses Nigeria's urgent need for climate resilience, food security, and sustainable energy through integrated water and power infrastructure development.
